Cybersecurity Training for Financial Institutions In Namibia
WHAT IS CYBER INCIDENT RESPONSE TRAINING?
The Training Program is a two-day curriculum, with eight hours each day. It helps financial institutions in Namibia develop vital skills and playbooks for countering cyber-attacks, responding effectively, and restoring impacted systems safely. This training is supported by CRDF Global, an independent nonprofit advancing security, health, and economic progress through science, innovation, and collaboration.
Curriculum
The training will cover six progressively enhancing topics:
•Introduction to Relevant Threats
•Modern Day Threat Attribution and
•Threat Intelligence
•Detection Engineering
•Active Defense and Counter-Intelligence
•Threat Hunting and Incident Response
Training is tailored to attendees' abilities, top-priority issues, and open-source tools.

Learning Objectives
The goal is to empower technical teams to identify, combat, and mitigate DPRK and state-sponsored cyber threats. Participants will learn how to use readily available tools and resources and solve technical issues. At the end of the course, participants will have practical tools such as playbook templates and checklists, new skills applicable in their work settings, and improved strategies for skillfully managing technical crises.
Eligible Attendees:
IT or cybersecurity personnel from Namibian financial institutions responsible for responding to cyber attacks on their assets.
Participants must:
•Attend all 2 training days personally (no remote options)
•Have a working knowledge of English
•Bring your own laptop
•Have admin rights to download software to your laptop
